Healing + Transformation Circle
We often hear stories about how dis-ease leads to inner transformation. In his book Soil, Soul, Society, Satish Kumar reveals how medicine and meditation have the same Latin root -- mederi -- which means to "pay attention" and "to take care." Whether one is diagnosed with a life-threatening disease or is caring for others whose well-being is compromised, we have the opportunity to delve into who we are and what is the essence of health.

On Sunday, April 23rd, to build on our collective intelligence around deep healing, we are convening our first circle on 'Healing + Transformation'.  Like our other past circles, we will open with some meditation, followed by seed reflections from few guests and then engage in dialogue.  In addition, we'll also be facilitating pre-connections among the participants and nurturing the post-ripples that may emerge.

Our circle will include the ever-so-inspiring Dr. Sri, compassionate nurse Anne Marie, author Bill Stewart (of Deep Medicine), courageous cancer survivors like Kozo and Thu -- and many others from the community. Some of the questions we’ll hold together -- from a personal lens, how can dis-ease be held in a context of inner growth?  How do we build the personal capacity to create sustainable behavior change? What is the difference between healing and curing? What is the archetype of a "wounded healer"?  What healing tools and practices can be applied within the constraints of traditional hospital settings? Can we engage with multiple disciplines of medicine for an integral approach to deep medicine?  What innovations (including payments systems) could facilitate a deeper relationship between health care providers and patients?

We invite anyone who has experienced a healing journey either as a patient, a caretaker or a doctor, to join us for this deep dialogue. To join, simply RSVP below and we'll send you the details as we get closer.
