Teen Grocer Revives Community

Not just bagging cans and produce, 17-year-old Nick Graham owns the only grocery store in the small town of Truman, Minn. The high school senior bought and reopened the store a month ago, making him "something of a hometown hero." Locals -- many far older than Graham -- credit him with restoring life to the town's struggling Main Street and saving them a 24-mile roundtrip to another store. "I didn't want to see downtown Truman deteriorate," says Graham. "I can't count the number of people who helped stock shelves, price items and clean this place up." Just about everyone in town is now a regular. "It gives the whole community a sense of confidence," a customer says.
