Essentially, a story expresses how and why life changes. --Robert McKee

Storytelling That Moves People:
Why is persuasion so difficult, and what can you do to truly inspire people? In search of answers to those questions, Harvard Business Review paid a visit to Robert McKee, the world's best-known and most respected screenwriting lecturer. McKee believes that executives can engage listeners on a whole new level if they toss their PowerPoint slides and learn to tell good stories instead. He argues that stories "fulfill a profound human need to grasp the patterns of living -- not merely as an intellectual exercise, but within a very personal, emotional experience" This article shares more of his storytelling secrets. Be The Change:

In its company we, on our bended knee Empowered, enraptured let us be. HOW magnificient, such a tree's glee ! ! !

On Jan 20, 2008 Maureen Flanagan writes: I agree that life is so very complicated. Enthusiasm is infectious, and positive actions. I wrote a book 'Along the Way', about myself being put in an orphanage at the age of 10 months. I have had sadness but reading positive article like these have always made me go forward and I never dreamt when I was searching to see if I could find my mother and father and also wondering if I had siblings that this journey would be written. It was learning to trust, learning t hope, willing to risk, and walking for miles with hope in my heart that I would find answers. People said they found it ea echoes in the memories of their minds too many of the events that occurred on my journey. Keep reading positive articles like this because it doesn't matter how many times we fall down, its how many times we get up again and make a difference. Thanks for this great article today it has made me so motivated to start my second book. We are all here for a purpose. Warm wihes, Maureen flanagan. (Australia)
