The single largest pool of untapped resource in this world is human good intentions that never translate into action. --Cindy Gallop

How Advertising and Altruism Can Change the World:
Marketing veteran Cindy Gallop and software developer Wendell Davis are on a quest to make the world a better place, with a crowdsourcing project to motivate people to do big things by taking small bites. Their theory: Small, good intentions can bring about great leaps. Gallop and Davis are creating an engaging, easy-to-use portal that makes big ideas easier for individuals. They want to allow people to effectively use their skill sets, time, and budget to accomplish concrete tasks. With hundreds of others acting in concert, these small actions can create giant changes. I like the idea of trying to put the small steps to the forfront of site visitor's minds.

One thing that was a bit off and that comes from a lot of the web's big shots is poorly worded criticism of what's already been done, "I deplore facebook causes"??? Sometimes people put down other ideas to make their seem better.  The web is about affiliation. And there's lots of great activism that gets people thinking, engaged and out on the streets. We just need more colloboration and people sharing among them.
