Only small groups of people ever get to see his original portraits. In late 2014, Northern Irish visual artist Oliver Jeffers began The Dipped Painting Project — performances during which he dipped his own fully painted portraits halfway into vats of colored enamel paints. Jeffers, 46, is an award-winning author and illustrator of over 20 books, primarily for children.
