What if, instead of violent responses to protests, another approach is taken? If we acted from generosity and understanding instead of fear? What would happen if all police, not just some, decided to join the protestors in a march? Or if protesters offered water to the police? Across the nation, while much of the attention of the protests has been on violence and looting, there were also moments of kindness and solidarity that brought people together.
