Two life-long friends were reunited after not having seeing each other for over 60 years. Marita Swenson, now 88, and Claude Frable, now 91, met in 1953 at a school dance held at Endicott College where Swenson attended in Beverly, Massachusetts. The all-girls' college had invited Frable and other military servicemen to the dance. After the dance, Swenson and Frable spent a couple of weekends together, only to meet each other in-person once more a few years later. They tried to stay in touch by writing to each other, and Frable even mailed gifts to Swenson and her family. Later they lost touch until Frable made some calls to find Swenson in 2009. Seventy years after their first meeting, the pair finally reunited in Issaquah, Washington, where Frable now lives. β€œThe friendship will never ever end until one of us is no more,” said Swenson.
