After selling his company for eight figures to a competitor, Canadian entrepreneur Marcel LeBrun is building a community of tiny homes for homeless people in Fredericton, New Brunswick. His factory is now churning out one tiny home every 4 business days to create the 12 Neighbours gated community of 99 homes and an enterprise center. “I see myself as a community builder, and really what we’re doing here is not just building a little community, but we’re building a community in a city, like how do we help our city be better?” he says. The tiny homes have a full-service kitchen, living and bedroom areas, a full bathroom, a small deck, and solar panels on the roofs. The enterprise center will have a coffee bar that will be run as a business by the residents, as well as a “teaching kitchen” and silk printing business.
