If you make a playground that is fun for teens, it will be fun for everyone. That fun starts with the swing, which can be so simple. But the swings at North America's largest swing set, at Anna C. Verna Playground in Philadelphia’s FDR Park, are carefully chosen to suit all ages and abilities. The centerpiece of the two-acre nature-based playground, which opened in October, is the 120-by-100-foot elliptical “megaswing” with 20 different swings of five different types. The other Mega Swing is in central Moscow’s Gorky Park. Its 141-foot-wide tilted ellipse supports 29 swings and is lit at night with multicolor LEDS.
