Barbie Releases 9 New Dolls Of Trailblazing Women Athletes
Ahead of the 2024 Olympics, Mattel has announced a series of nine Barbie dolls that honor trailblazing women athletes. They include: US tennis player Venus Williams; Canadian soccer player Christine Sinclair; Australian football player Mary Fowler; French boxer Estelle Mossley; Mexican gymnast Alexa Moreno; Brazilian Olympic gold and silver medalist Rebeca Andrade; Spanish paratriathlon star Susana Rodriguez; Italian swimmer Frederica Pellegrini; and Polish track and field sprinter Ewa Swoboda. With digital sport platform VOICEINSPORT, Mattel will host inspirational virtual sessions with the Barbie Role Models for girls in sports ages 12 and up.
