Hospital staff pooled their resources to help a dying man walk his daughter down the aisle by hosting the pushed-up wedding ceremony at Providence St. Joseph hospital in Orange, California. Family, friends and Abraham Arceo’s hospital care team attended the service in the first floor chapel. Arceo was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer a year ago, and his family was not sure he would make it to the planned June 28 wedding date. “If he wasn’t here, it would be way worse, so it’s actually really sweet that we’re able to have each other, like have him there, have him be with us,” said Brittny’s fiance, Alan Tran. Alan and Brittny had already exchanged pre-ceremony vows: to take care of each other’s parents.
