The curtain may have come down for live theater during the pandemic but one theater actor has raised a curtain for a new type of theater. Bright Ong is a theater actor in Singapore and when projects dried up for him, he started writing his own shows. Eventually he starred in a virtual play by a theater company where online players can interact with the characters. "I've done so many more things than I would have on a regular non-COVID year," says Ong. Film and theater producer, Derrick Chew added, "I think as artists and business owners, as entrepreneurs we need to be adaptable to change because that's the only constant." "I'm fairly confident live theater will never die. Art does reflect life and at this point there's a lot of healing that needs to done." says Ong.
