University Gives Unexpected Bonus to All Employees Saying Thanks for Their Service During COVID
Chancellor Daniel Diermeier of Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn. is giving the eligible faculty, staff and postdocs a $1,500 bonus in their paychecks. It is his way of expressing gratitude for the extraordinary efforts of those at the heart of Vanderbilt's educational mission. It has not been easy, especially during the unprecedented challenges of the pandemic, Diermeier said.
