Because I'm Human, Just Like You

This award-winning film was made by students of the Santa Fe School for Arts and Sciences. It addresses global issues of bullying and tolerance, creating a dialogue about respect and diversity. It was designed as a public service announcement to share with other schools. The message is a simple one which is carried on the shoulders of the very young, bringing hope for a better future.

Check out 'Bullied' a documentary which tells the story of one student's ordeal at the hands of anti-gay bullies and offers inspiration and hope for those facing harassment today.

Tolerance Day will be here Nov 16 but we should aim to incorporate tolerance into our lives every day. Make it happen and take the Tolerance Pledge.

We all feel small sometimes. Seeing the faces reminds us of the hurt we can inflict by not reaching out.

You are helping!!!! Thank you!!!! I'm 72 years old and I was bullied in grade school from 4th-8th grade. I always wonder what my life would have been like if the adults and friends would have stepped up and made me feel that this was not okay.

Congratulations. It was the simplicity of the video that got the incredibly complex message across. Because I AM just like you👣. Thanks.

Thanks Team. Great to hear from the Children. Seeing the world through the eyes of love is the answer...a great Purpose, and joy is a true effect from finding a loving purpose...we get credit for anything, and any effort counts......peace on Earth...1
Matters not——a child og God
This is a great reminder to us all to seek to live to the best in us when we think and act. Here we have a "karma" inspired teaching (most closely related to the Muslim religion). The reminder (teaching) is virtually identical to the words of Christ: "do unto others as you would that others do unto you). And, truth be known, the theme is used as a guide to life in a grand majority of religious and philosophical thought, including many very well-meaning, loving atheists.

The theme of love, joy, peace, fairness, kindness is rampant in all society, but we are overwhelmed by the bad which occurs when this theme is not followed. And, most seriously, we fail to think on, act upon and implement the theme of Goodness/Kindness in too many cases.

So, what to do?
Think on these words, on this mode of living, treating others the way I would like to be treated.
Act out the Goodness in my own life.
Teach children and any who will learn to apply the rule.
A simple manner of stating it is:
Do the Best (most good) that you can,
For as many others as you can,
With what you have,
Where you are, and
Do it (the good thing) Now!!

I'm game. How about you? Just Sayin' JustBen

I LOVE LOVE LOVE seeing these kids already understand so much about wanting to be accepted for who they are. Fills my heart so full...and this should be the message for all those horrible politicians.

I liked variety of things the students said. All things you could get picked on for. And all of them just ordinary things that make us the wonderful people we all are. Why should anyone get picked on for being great?

The visual impact with the voices brought tears! Beautiful1 So simple!
