This should be the norm, not the extraordinary. I appreciate so much what Food Runners do. I wonder how "extra" food can reach beyond the obvious, in shelters. Lots of other people are hungry.

I love seeing initiatives that are win win. Allowing restaurants to donate food without liability so that others might eat is beautiful. Mary's spot on about having enough food in this country so that no one goes hungry; it's just a matter of reallocation. Love it!!!

So glad to see this video. We do a food gleaning after each Friday Farmers Market - it's a partnership between my church and the local food pantry in NJ. We are so blessed by the generosity of the Market merchants!

Use and consume food mindfully and share beyond the immediate family, friends and relatives.

A simple concept, with real bottom line effect, way to go Food Runners....

Wasrete in an issue in many other forms and is contributing to a horror show of resource abuse. Why? Unless we address cause, we are only the short term angle. Cause goes into the heart of hierarchical constructs and capitalism. Creating systems that utilize others to support the few on top. The commodification of money driven by an unsustainable fractional reserve/debt process that forces growth "to make investors happy," has led to this current madness. Subsidies of foods that go into processed faux foods helps maintain the ideology of more and we are back to waste. I am glad people are helping each other, contributing because that is the a way we all shine. Our species has potential outside of the basic archaiac story we have been trained to accept, even as it is leading to disease throughout systems, organisms etc. is part of a new narrative. A new connect it all, relationship thinking applied to wider visions will change our story. It is time, we have the capacity...now we need the belief!

Such a beautiful act of kindness. The sweet side of humanity. I feel inspired and challenged to do something to make a difference in the lives of others.
