Free Geek: Helping the Needy Get Nerdy

More than 200,000 computer systems become obsolete in the U.S. every day while the gap between people who can afford technology and those who cannot -- the digital divide -- keeps growing. Enter Free Geek with an elegant solution. It takes unwanted computer systems from local residents and recycles the stuff that's beyond repair; everything is fixed up using volunteer labor and in exchange for that work, volunteers get those rehabbed computers -- for free. "We basically aim those two problems at each other," says the volunteer who calls himself "Reverend Phil". "We use the landfill to bridge the gap."

Your story is so uplifting. We all get tired of reading all the
"negative" stories in the news.

Our world needs more people like
those in this story. Just show
us the way of how we can help.
