Everything! That women are celebrated and honored by the planting of trees is such a wonderful way to honor our Mother Earth too. That the family of the girls take care of the trees that are planted in their name. And that they include their brothers in the honoring too. -

I love the fact that the project was initiated by a man as a way of recognizing the value of women in his culture. It would be interesting to conduct a study of the girls in that community to see if they are better educated and become more self- sufficient.
I'd also like to know if the project has had positive impacts on the men in the community. -
