His ‘Granborghini‘ Project Gives Elderly People Joyrides in Supercars (WATCH)

After losing his grandmother to suicide brought on by loneliness, Mark Cody made a promise: other isolated seniors would get the Lamborghini ride he never gave her. His charity Granborghini now pairs elderly Britons with supercar owners for high-speed joyrides that transform more than just an afternoon. "We've had people step out of the car and say 'I feel like a rock star' or 'I feel 20 years younger,'" Cody says of the seniors who hesitate at first -- like wildebeest at a river's edge -- before climbing into Ferraris and McLarens. What began as grief has become something else entirely: a recognition that sometimes the antidote to invisibility is being seen doing 100 miles per hour.
