Two physiotherapists from Bhopal watched for nearly two decades as patients - a paralyzed child in a farming family, an elderly woman whose children lived overseas, a professional whose tennis elbow quietly became chronic - stopped treatment not because they gave up, but because life made continuing impossible. Dr. Anant Singh Gaur and Dr. Anubha Singhai responded not with resignation but with invention, building Remote Physios, an AI- and IoT-powered platform that places clinic-grade rehabilitation devices directly in patients' homes. "As long as symptoms like pain are present, patients prioritise treatment," says Anubha, "but once the symptoms reduce, many are unable to continue the sessions required for complete recovery" - a quiet tragedy the founders refused to accept as inevitable. Funding themselves through personal loans that reached nearly Rs 45 lakh, pitching at over a hundred forums before recognition arrived, they built something that now reaches more than 250 patients across India. Their story is a reminder that the distance between a person and their healing is sometimes geographic, sometimes financial, and sometimes simply the weight of an ordinary day - and that the right response to that distance is not to wait for patients to close it, but to cross it yourself.
