The 22-year-old from Kaysville, Utah, has become the first person with Down syndrome to earn certification as an UpBeat Barre instructor, a milestone rooted not in ambition for its own sake but in something quieter: a genuine desire for connection. Her instructor, Jane Johnson, noticed early that Aubry would turn around mid-class to teach the people behind her, having already mastered the choreography herself - "She has an incredible brain," Johnson told KSL. "Aubry can learn choreography so fast, and she retains it."
