At 17, Vivian Ho has built something that most institutions never manage: a system of help that asks nothing of a person's dignity in return. All The Same Organization delivers food, hygiene products, and school supplies to Title I families through an anonymous sign-up process, because Vivian understood that the moment of self-identification - the form, the box, the explanation offered to a stranger with authority - was the very thing keeping families from asking. "Just because resources exist does not mean that it's accessible," her co-founder Anika Luangaphay wrote, and the organization's architecture reflects that truth at every turn. When a medical classroom Vivian fundraised and built was shut down during a school turnaround, she simply turned toward other schools - a steadiness that volunteer Aoto Yamazaki described as something that "has always stayed with me." Her work carries a quieter thread too: having grown up suppressing her own Vietnamese culture, she designed a program where volunteers research recipients' cultural backgrounds and create handmade crafts to accompany supply packages, returning something to families that the experience of immigration so often takes away.
