How very, very lucky you are. Neither of my parents were close to me, so I guess I'm incredibly envious. My father was a closed-off, shut-down alcoholic; I just kept my head down so I wouldn't become the target of his irrational rage. My mother was harmless and uninvolved for the most part, didn't seem to care a whole lot about anyone. Now they're both gone, and so what? So....nothing. Maybe there's some beauty in death for you, but only insofar as it reflects the beauty that was there during life. No beauty in life, none in death, or at least that's the way I see it.
