Completely off subject, but you said you loved snails. I read an article awhile back about a kid who fell and skinned his knee while at the beach. Despite all the band-aids and neosporin his mother applied to the scrape, it didn't seem to be healing. After a couple weeks went by with no improvement she took her son to the doctor, who inspected the boy's knee and sent them home, telling them "It is only a minor abrasion, keep it clean and stay hydrated, it will heal, your son is fine." Another week or so went by, but still the boy's knee had not improved. The mother decided to take this into her own hands, she figured the wound wasn't healing because there must be a piece of glass or seashell or something that was embedded in the cut. So she sat her son down, took out a pair of good tweezers and, for lack of a better word, she gently "dug" into the wound with the intention of removing whatever was in there. To their astonishment, the mother quickly discovered what was causing the problem. A tiny snail had gotten embedded inside the boy's knee. Even more astonishing, over a month later, it was still alive. The boy and his mom decided to keep the tiny snail, and they named it Sneal, which never fails to make me chuckle, hopefully it does the same to you.
