My husband of 45 years just went into the hospital and was waiting for a pacemaker and a cardiac team that they couldn't find. He had a cardiac arrest and was able to be saved. It truly was a miracle. But everyday I struggle with the fact that he could have died. I need change my mind set to the fact that he is alive today and that is what matters. I know the time will come when he has to go but for now I want and struggle to be happy. I think I have PTSD and some sort of survivors guilt. The last 2 years have been horrible for so many. I am trying to live in the present. I enjoyed this piece very much. Your father was too young. He lives in the pocket of your heart.
