This story made me cry because the "Doers" are doing so much harm, taking so much from the rest of us and from the Earth. This is what's in the news, but the news almost never tells the stories of generosity and kindness, of gentleness and thoughtfulness. I need those stories; doing emotional battle with the Doers is exhausting and draining. I love the image of being gently adrift in the dark with the oaks and ferns, and the tide. And Pt Reyes is one of my favorite places - the fog and the elks, the infinite birds and the leopard shark touch my heart, even from far away.
