I enjoyed reading this post, as I have owned 3 horses in my life...... the last one was a Wild Horse, named Windancer. We spent 30 years together and was my ambassador for my nonprofit foundation, wind-dancer.org
I gave him his wings 2 years ago in October of 2022, as he shared 30 years of his life with me and he now runs "free" The loss of him around me on the farm has been heartbreaking...... but his spirit is with me in my heart and soul. I am searching for an activity as a volunteer with a re-hab group involving horses.... As a Vietnam Veteran, I know that other veterans suffering from PTSD, have been successful in rehab with Wild Horses, as they too suffer from PTSD from the tragic, and harmful roundup activities by the Blm.
