I am also interested in the slow transformation and push back on nuclear weapons by Proposition One: a 24 hour-a-day vigil outside the White House since 1981. They engage with millions of tourists and folks from all over the world in their effort to ban nuclear weapons. And the Plowshares Movement, where NV activists take household hammers (once a jack hammer!) to nuclear missile silos and sites, to raise awareness of the need to disarm. Although not actually eliminating nuclear weapons, it can be argued that keeping concerns about Disarmament in the public eye has delayed the use of nuclear weapons and radicalized many people.
