Dare I say that this article points too many fingers at an assumed problem that doesn't exist? Do panhandlers in San Francisco claim to need money for food? Yes. Is their claim true? No. St. Anthony's is on a 3 page list of free food possibilities made possible through the SF Food Bank. How many other cities are doing this and we just don't realize it? I love the message, but if we want to change the world we need to start by looking at how it really is.
