Beautiful. If we are mindful and fortunate we may arrive at a season in life (“second half” some may call it) wherein patience becomes second nature. Rather than stressing and striving, we surrender and submit to loving forces outside of ourselves.
Personally, I have experienced the Lover of my soul at a level beyond human (brain) understanding, but nonetheless truth imparted to me the “heart”? My faith tradition affirms and encourages this, but I also find this Truth among other law, prophets, religion and philosophy of man. I am not surprised by this because my experience and faith clearly “tell” me there is a Cosmic, Sovereign Divine LOVE that is real yet beyond human understanding. Only the heart knows, and the way to this knowledge is a “downward” path of surrender and submission. Which of course can only happen if we “know” and “trust” the what or who we are submitting to as wholly (holy) trustworthy. This I “know”.
