I interact with teens on a regular basis in my clinic. I've found time & again that they really want to talk, they just need someone to listen to them, without judging them. After I've given them the stage & really listened to them, then they are ready to listen to me as well. Majority of the times I advise them perhaps just like a parent would but I feel that after our interaction they are now more receptive to what I say.
