Jayden and Kimberly arrived early on Hatteras Island in North Carolina for a small wedding with about 45 family members and friends expected to attend. But before the wedding day, a storm cut off highway access to the island with only a handful of guests on hand. Through social media, a friend of theirs explained the situation, and invited anyone who could attend for “a chance to come together and make a couple’s wedding celebration something they’ll remember forever.” Over 400 people showed up! “People who had never met the couple gave them a place to celebrate, brought them food, provided music, took photographs, helped organize the ceremony and filled the dance floor.” One of their friends wrote, “We will + everyone included will talk about this for years to come. To say the absolute least. We are at a loss for words.”
