Gandhi's Kingsley Hall Address

On October 17th, 1931, just days before he would once again be imprisoned, Mahatma Gandhi spoke at London's Kingsley Hall. It was an address he called "My Spiritual Message," and remains one of the best surviving sound recordings of his voice. Gandhi opens with: "There is an indefinable mysterious power that pervades everything, I feel it though I do not see it. It is this unseen power which makes itself felt and yet defies all proof, because it is so unlike all that I perceive through my senses. It transcends the senses."

Thank you for this clip. First of all it was wonderful to hear an enlightened soul’s voice, after all these years! - Thank you for the intellects ( Thanks to that underlying life force that makes the intellect functional), that have developed these technologies!! His succinct summary of the functional world perceived and transacted through the five senses and the awareness of the Substratum that makes this functional / transactional possible, touched me deeply - especially hearing it from this Mahatma. 🙏

Hearing his words 80 years after I had the privilege of sitting at his feet in 1931 confirm the feeling of goodness and compassion that I felt at the age of 3. What a truly great man of our time.
