Life has a rhythm, it's constantly moving. The word for rhythm, used by the Malinke tribes, is FOLI. It is a word that encompasses so much more than drumming, dancing or sound. We hire personal trainers, we join gyms, we sign up for 10Ks and marathons, we take yoga and pilates classes, because so many of us no longer work with our bodies. And still we're not as lean or as strong as we'd like to be. Not inherently good or bad. Just an interesting trade-off, or exchange, or maybe a short-change.

Realizing that in America, we have a poverty of important work being done. We are suffering from a lack of rhythm, community, satisfaction, deep and meaningful work.
