Love is wanting the best to happen to someone else. But, you say, "what about loving myself?" How can you love someone else and yourself at the same time? I put a picture of two people with hands making a heart (on my post today, "What is love to you?"). A lot of people would try to fill those hands with a dinner date, diamond ring, or charitable thing. That is not love, that is an excuse to love. Love happens when your heart is joined with another. God fills your hearts in oneness, a way that can't be understood by thinking or doing things. So, let the date, the ring, the charitable thing, just be about wanting the best to happen to someone else.

Many Americans would cry "communism" including many poor Americans if we try to implement the policies they have in Scandinavia. They believe that American capitalism is working just fine for them because certain politicians and business leaders tell them so.

Well said. Inequality, guns, racism, increasing partisanship, all contribute to more anger and fear. I also suspect that is how they ended up with such an ill-equipped, angry, fearful reactive, anti intellectual leader in 2017.
