Good point. If "Christmas" offends 4% of people so much (and, please note, I'm one of the Christians who grew up NOT observing Christmas), let them work on it! I still don't do much about Christmas except recognize that it's a good way to raise funds for charitable missions whose need is greatest in midwinter. I never have. No lights, no trees, no shopping sprees. No emotional need to whine about my feelings being hurt by other people's celebrating something I don't, either. If others enjoy Christmas, Hanukah, Kwanzaa, or whatever, I wish them a merry one. Why are people so afraid of Christian-phobics? When we ask this question, the answer and its implications become obvious: Because some of these people are very deeply disturbed, and may be dangerous. That being the case, it's good for society to keep a wary eye on them.

Vic Smith, I hear what you're saying in general. But I think this article is not specifically about Kindness around Christmas, or Hanukkah, or Thanksgiving, or Diwali, or New Year's...it truly is just about the holiday season whatever faith you celebrate that in.
