I do this often and not as any "experiment" but because we are desperate to connect to one another. I also purposefully engage homeless in conversations sometimes over lunch together. Always illuminating. Today is Hugs Across America and we are doing Free Hugs to try to build a bridge between what has become an extremely polarized country at this time.During those encounters (I've shared Free Hugs in perhaps 30 cities throughout the world,the experience is always the same; strangers open up and share intimate details of their lives.
