The witch-hunts across Europe in the 15th, 16th and 17th centuries, which involved the rape, torture and killing of 10-20 million women, provided the fuel for the renaissance and enlightenment. A healing of this atrocity through grieving, learning and surrender would be a fine thing indeed, and is surely necessary for the birthing of the systems view of life...
