Yes, r_p, forgiveness is a gift we give ourselves as well: forgiving ourselves for not being able to continue to extend our forgiveness to others, for not being able to maintain a hope that others may change and become open to forgiveness, for wishing to run away from the unforgiving behavior of others. This, too, is forgiveness.
