It is impossible for people born post 2000 to imagine a time without the Internet. Before that it was television and before that, the print medium. But more fundamental to all these revolutions is Time. How people have perceived time in their own times is not clear especially when we study cultures in the ancient past. How we interpret the wisdom they left behind depends a lot on how we interpret their sense of time. We do not get to read expositions on ancient wisdom that is acutely sensitive to their sense of time. Like old movie remakes with newer technology, may be there should be new wisdom remakes with the old sense of time. I thoroughly enjoyed the post, thanks.
