This story was challenging. As a boomer, I’ve taken on the responsibilities of sorting through grandparents, aunties and parents possessions after their passing, and helped friends with sorting their parents possessions. I didn’t have space to take on all their items. I recently downsized from a small 900 sq ft house to a 23’ MH and had to make decisions about my own possessions - what would my children cherish? Who might value my leather chair? There is energy in things, and yet it is more important to have energy with life, living, relationships. Not the obsessive constant doing we often find ourselves in now, rather a being present to the day and people we encounter. Sometimes possessions can enhance that e.g. a carefully set table for sharing a meal. Other times they become a barrier, I have to keep the 10 boxes of postcards because Grandma collected them for 85 years. I think the family of the story was lazy as they didn’t want to share the possessions with others...give useful, usable items away, but rather place them in a dumpster. There is a balance to things and yes, we need to be more thoughtful before tossing.

Re: Anthony Rey Silva It is already happening around the world, and I can say it is one positive in technology that we can communicate via internet, that many peoples of all culture are becoming aware of the power of our thoughts to manifest new and exciting possibilities. Well, judging by the state of the world today, I don't see how we can give up hope when there's so much of it around. However, we must get used to a new world, one where we can all co-inhabit nicely, both past and present. It is the technology that has taken over, that is the materialism that we most have to learn to live with. and spirituality is very much alive... I can assure you. Thanks to computers and signals floating throughout the air, we have accessed a power to which we aren't ready for..... we must make friends with the past of humanity and learn from it, best we can. because that's all that matters!
