These women are amazing. They worked together to do both small and large acts of kindness for other people in their community. They gave of themselves with some hard work and sacrifice: getting up so early, laundering their husbands’ shirts, and saving money so they could help other people. This family enterprise reflected their family values, demonstrated by their grandparents and passed down through their children. In my opinion having generations of your family doing charitable work is a wonderful legacy. I was brought up and also raised my children with the responsibility to improve the world through acts of kindness and charity. It is humbling and inspiring to see what these women accomplished.
