Wow! Exactly the opposite here! If there are no such things as gods, we’re on our own unless we take care of each other! That’s what realizing I’d been believing mythology all of my life did for me.

Sadly that gives me no comfort because people are awful. Everyone has their own agenda and is selfish. I have been severely abused in my life. So I don't trust anyone. No God exists and people are awful so all I have left are animals.
