Such a sweet story! I had a stray cat adopt me once, and it was the same process: It took him forever to trust me, but once he did, it was as if I'd been given a wonderful gift.

Sure it takes long, but after that, any stray cat will consider you like your genitor and love you as the one who saved his life.
