A beautiful writing. I have a donkey. I have lived with her for 30+ years. Fed her every day, talked to her every day and listened to her through her big brown eyes. What a treasure the poem is along with your sharing of it. I often think now of where she will rest and if angels will be carried by my " Platero " donkey. Thank you.
