This research and resulting conclusions affirms my personal experience. I learned from my mother to get up, make my bed, dress. “ Don’t drag around the house in your nightgown. If feeling low, go out and conbect with people. Smile ( fake it, if necessary) and make eye contact… at the supermarket, the post office, on the street.” This has worked for me for years. Gradually, my motivation changed to wanting others to benefit by waking them to the present moment, to realizing they ( and ‘we’) are alive, even if only for a moment. “Micro-moments of connection”!
