Weigh, measure and compare will feed the ego, close ourselves off from introspection and not serve our highest good. Stop these things and our compassion grows, nourishing the love within ourselves and feeds the soul and broadens our consciousness and hey, how could that be bad?

Such a great insight, Lisa! John Lennon said: "Life is what happens to you while you are busy making other plans." Some plans are useful, but most of them are extra and simply serve to keep the mind busy with useless chatter. That state of acceptance you refer to can be so delicious - alive to what is here right now and not worrying about what it should or shouldn't be. A beautiful starting point always....
