What a contrast to today's world, especially following the most recent winter storm that brought snow and freezing rain across the continent. Millions of people without power, totally dependent on the services we can't live without and don't want to live without. Millions descending on grocery stores for food and water. Yet, within hours after the storm ends, the snowplows clear the roads and life returns to normal. Important for cities to have green spaces for us to imagine the meadows and forests Thoreau enjoyed almost two hundred years ago. I can only imagine his world by enjoying the beautiful artwork in this post.
