Living with Questions

When I was in confirmation class at 12 years old, I knew I was looking for answers but not even sure of the questions, so I asked hundreds of them from every nook and cranny of my forming soul. At one point, my frustrated minister said, " if you ask one more question, you will not be confirmed!" And he meant it. So I began looking for confirming answers everywhere instead of just church. My life has been crammed full of continuing questions, but that 12 year old clearly understood already that the answer to all my questions was LOVE. I had known that encompassing LOVE, soul LOVE, as soul certainty since I was three years old. I just had to figure out what the journey to the LOVE answer entailed. That journey has been where the questions live. HOW does love move from its all-encompassing answer to execution as I move through the emerging moments of my life? At 80 years old, I am still living the questions in journey after journey, but more and more certain about LOVE which I wear as clothing and eat as nourishment. Thank you for this beautiful story of your engagement with love---the heart of everything. I have been in the ether of ''Service Space" surrounded by your in- person words on at least one occasion, and felt their truth ease into my own soul journeys. I am thrilled to have these written words of yours to accompany me, to absorb. Lately, in my 80th year, LOVE permeates all questions and is the only answer as I move toward my final home, my personal AMEN.
