Here's to listening to leading woth love, listening to sparks and intuition and following where those unexpected paths lead. I'm so grateful I followed an ask from a Belizean in 2005 randomly met on a snorkel excursion that I return to Belize and assist with literacy. That invitation led to me selling my small home & modt of my possessions to create/facilitate a volunteer literacy project. I ended up donating programs for over 30,000 students and training 800 teachers how to use their own cultural legends to teach writing in their schools. In 2008 a footnote in a book led me to join couchsurfing and that opened up a Storytelling Tour across Europe 3 years later. Following these types of messages has also led me to profound human connections including carrying a Free Hugs sign everywhere I went from 2008 to 2020, then again in 2024 onward. People are so hungry to connect and felt heard and understood. Forever grateful 🙏
