Race is an illusion. Differences between cultures and individuals don't always correlate with preconceived notions, and there is much variation even within families. Like, basically, what you look like doesn't determine who you are. But then again I grew up in New York, in America, where social groups aren't so defined across perceived racial lines as they are in some places...
